Eighth Annual Caldwell Family Centre $1,000 Scholarship

The intent of this scholarship is to help young people from low-income families who live in the catchment area that runs from Carling to Hunt Club, and Prince of Wales to Woodroffe with postal codes K1Y, K2A, K2G, K2C, K1Z.  

 

This scholarship opportunity is for the student who has shown the most improvement during their high school career, and not necessarily the one with the highest marks.  The money can be used for college, university, or trades training.  And taking into consideration the current COVID-19 circumstances, it can be used either this year or next.

 

To apply student are required to provide:

  • a one-page essay on why they deserve the scholarship, what they plan on studying, and their plans for the future.   A list of their volunteer work and community work will also be taken into consideration
  • a letter of recommendation from a teacher
  • proof of university/college/trade school acceptance
  • their application to info@CaldwellCentre.ca by May 31, 2020
