"Dear parent/guardian,

We have come to the end of the week but unfortunately due to bus cancellations we have had to move an  exam day into next week.  Thanks to all for your flexibility so far.

A reminder that Monday January 30 is a pd day and there are no classes or exams, staff are involved in school and department activities and preparing for Semester 2 classes.

Our final exam day will be Tuesday Jan 31 for any students who have exams in the Semester 1 Per 4 class.

Semester 2 classes will begin on Wednesday February 1 and this is a full school day (cafeteria service resumes on this day).  Students will receive an updated timetable in their homeroom class on Wed.  Students can locate their new homeroom on lists posted in the cafeteria Wed morning.

We are beginning our planning for the next school year.  On Wednesday February 15 we will have a Parent Information Night.   More details will come out later and the presentations will be posted on our website.  There will be two presentations: 6:15 - 6:45 for parents of students going into Gr. 10 - 12 and at 7:15 for parents of students going into Gr. 9 and newcomers to our school.  You can also check out the school board website for detailed information about program pathways and course selection.

A reminder that if you received an Immunization notice from Ottawa Public Health you are encouraged to follow up on it and get your son or daughter's immunizations or their paperwork up-to-date.  Please contact them at 613-5580-6744 or if you have any questions.  Potential suspension notices have been sent out by Ottawa Public Health.  These would take effect on February 8 if immunization paperwork is not complete.  You are encouraged to get this taken care of.  We want to keep the kids in school!

Parents of students in Grade 12 are reminded that applications to Ontario colleges are due by February 1.  Students or parents with any questions should contact their guidance counsellor.  As well information is now available about government assistance to support post-secondary education, this is known as OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program).  Check out their website for information.

Your yearbook team reminds you that we have only a limited number of books left to sell.  Don't miss out.  You can order online via the school website
