Congratulations are extended to a couple of our students who have taken their own initiative to help others.  On Friday Dec 5 Gabrielle McPolin ran a bake sale in support of Sleeping Children Around the World.  She collected $187.25 from the sale of goods that she and her friends put together.  Sleeping Children is a charity  that provides
sleeping kits for children who do not have them.  100% of the money collected goes to providing these sleeping kits.  You can find out more at: http://www.scaw.org/  Congrats to Gabrielle for leading this project and to her friends and community for supporting her.  We are also very proud of the charitable work of one of our students Kyle Flavell, who is on the executive of a student created and run charity called "Tools with Impact".  These students, thru this charity, collect used tools and send them to a village  in Mozambique called Mossuril.  Any useable tools are collected during their drives.   The project is a partnership with students from Merivale High School and now St. Pius X.  If you want to drop off tools call Merivale H.S. 613-224-1807.  Check out their website for more information: www.toolswithimpact.ca
