Meet the Teacher is September 15

Join us on Thursday September 15 from 5-6:30pm to meet your student's teachers. We will begin with some introductions in the cafeteria, and then there will be time for you to stop by and say hello to the teaching staff.

School Photo Day is September 14

Our school Photo Day is on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. All students are asked to get their photo taken as the pictures will be used for student ID cards and yearbook. A greenscreen will be used for the photos, To ensure the best photo quality, it is recommended that students not wear green coloured clothes.

On photo day, no payment is due. You can review your photos online and order. Please sign up for notifications with edgeimaging.ca/photoday for updates about school photo day.

Virtual French Programs

We are pleased to announce our Virtual Programs for the fall. These programs will run for 9 weeks -September 26th - December 1st (no classes the week of Oct. 10-14)

Teacher Candidates from York University/Glendon College will lead these programs to support FSL students in our community.


As a CPF member, you have the first opportunity to register your child for a program. Classes are small so that all participants have lots of opportunities to speak French! For program descriptions Virtual Programs - Canadian Parents for French - Ontario (cpf.ca)

After-school French Tutoring - begins Sept. 20

  • AFTER-SCHOOL FRENCH TUTORING - TIME-SENSITIVE - REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

  • In partnership with Canadian Parents for French, we are able to offer small-group French virtual programs after school for a limited number of students in Grades 7, 8 and 9. Programs will run once a week for 11 weeks, Sept. 20th until Dec. 1st, after school. Sessions will be led by teacher candidates. Please find registration links here that can be shared with French teachers and families in your school. Families should only register for one program. Spots will be granted on a first come, first served basis. If the family’s program of choice is full, please have the parents complete the waitlist registration form.

Student Fee/Yearbook

This year, our Student Fee and Yearbook have been combined into one cost for added convenience and to keep the costs as low as possible. The fee is $50 per student, it includes the purchase of the Yearbook and it is payable through School Cash Online.

New for 2022-2023 - Specialist High Skills Major in SPORTS

We are thrilled to announce that we will be adding another Specialist High Skills Major program to our offerings at St. Pius X. We have just found out that our application for our SPORTS SHSM has been accepted and will begin next year.

Check out the information on our Program Information Website and speak with Ms. Delorey or your guidance counselor for additional details and to sign up.

This will be our 4th SHSM program at SPX. We also offer Arts and Culture (see Ms. Gant), Health and Wellness (see Ms. Bastianelli) and Emergency/Community Services (see Ms. Wu).

School is back and so is PIUS WEAR !

A great way to show your school spirit. There are many options. Fall order deadline is September 22, 2022.
